WHAT’S NEXT
As we now are well over a month since my last release, it’s time to consider and plan my next move.
“California Forever” has had a good reception from both general audiences and music professionals, nothing crazy though, since (as expected) it was the first single I’ve ever put out under my name. The song and its story were featured in magazines and blogs such as Earmilk, AltRecess, BuzzMusic and Vents Magazine, and it has been shared by Instagram profiles of music blogs as well: some bass guitar brands also acclaimed the song and acknowledged my bass skills, although they refused to endorse me because I’m not an “influencer”. Likes and follows are more important than sheer talent to them, I guess.
In the spirit of “striking the iron while it’s hot”, I am starting to plan my next release. I have tons of music I composed, most of it quite cinematic, but I figured, since “California Forever” was a ballad, I might want to release something that’s more energetic, and I have just the piece: it’s a matter of how to execute its realization.
The last release’s enterprise (extremely tough if I say so) helped me learn and navigate the chain of operations, and possibly how to “smoothen” things. I think I will work with a producer this time, and if I can I would love to collaborate with another musician, ideally another expressive bass player. You’ll never know who's going to show up!
All that to say, I’m alive and kicking, today more than ever, and the next song will prove it and blow your mind, so… stay tuned!
